The Austin, Texas, band The Strange Boys pairs raw Southern rock with belting horns and a voice that conveys soul from the ground up. The Strange Boys' debut album, The Strange Boys and Girls Club, helped land the group appearances in an assortment of popular music festivals, including South by Southwest. The group's debut even earned it comparisons to bands such as The Rolling Stones and Chuck Berry, as well as live appearances alongside acts such as Black Lips, Jay Reatard, Julian Casablancas, Spoon and Deerhunter.
