Welsh singer Cate Le Bon got her start by making the rounds in underground clubs, but it didn't take long for her haunting vocals and startling lyrics to get her a label deal. Though her debut album, Pet Deaths, was never released, it became a stepping stone essential in launching her career.
Le Bon's originality and unique take on freak folk, as heard on the recent Me Oh My, has thrust the singer into the spotlight. She played this year's SXSW music festival in Austin, and is currently back in the U.K., with a U.S. tour to follow.
