This Land Flows with Milk

Best known for her work with Belle and Sebastian, Isobel Campbell says her new solo album is inspired by "French girl singers, psychedelia, Jimmy Webb, Antonio Carlos Jobim, 'The Graduate,' 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' and of course, the most universal of all themes -- even in these cynical times -- Love."

The District Sleeps Alone Tonight

Living in a thousand miles from each other, Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard and Dntel producer Jimmy Tamborello collaborated on this album through the mail. This is their debut release as Postal Service.

We See

Plenty of funk with a touch of ambient atmospherics, Garage a Trois here offer their own interpretation of a Thelonious Monk tune.

Melted Matter

If you listen to NPR's All Things Considered, you might have heard the delicate jazz of the Tord Gustavsen Trio -- three musicians from Norway who play music reminiscent of Bill Evans or Keith Jarrett.

Variation One

The Jacques Loussier Trio here offers a variation of Beethoven's 7th Symphony performed on upright bass, piano and drums.

Santa Maria (del Buen Ayre)

Musicians from Paris and Argentina teamed up for this collection of inventive tango tunes.
