Among the leading lights in a London new-folk scene that includes Laura Marling and Noah and the Whale, Mumford and Sons' members have broken through with a rootsy style incorporating the momentum and skittish energy of bluegrass. Sigh No More, the band's 2009 debut, finally came out here this spring; the album finds Mumford and Sons updating the classic sounds of British and American folk music, with an emphasis on lush vocal harmonies and striking acoustic instrumentation. Hear the band perform live from the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tenn.
