Here's a set of musical encores. Camerata Nordica plays "Last Spring," from Edvard Grieg's Elegiac Melodies. We'll hear their lyrical encore performance from a concert in Lincoln, Nebraska. Then, an incredible virtuoso display by Venezuelan violinist Alexis Cardenas. At a concert in Montreal, his encore was an improvisation on a Venezuelan folk tune. And to wrap up, pianist Steven Mayer plays "The Banjo" by Louis Moreau Gottschalk. It was Mayer's encore at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York this summer.
