Every once in a while, we take a side trip away from the main highways of classical music to find new and interesting sounds. Today's Classical Detour finds us in the NPR studios with The Amelia Trio: violinist Anthea Kreston, cellist Jason Duckles and pianist Reiko Aizawa. The group plays The St. Petersburg Waltz by Meredith Monk, a piece Duckles says gives the impression of "a comfortable loneliness."
