FAA Attempts to Replenish Air Controller Work Force

The federal government announces plans to hire more than 12,000 air traffic controllers in the next decade to offset a huge number of expected retirements by experienced staff. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said training of the new controllers would be sped up with the use of simulators. NPR's Brian Naylor reports.
