Performance Today is on the road in Portland, Ore., for the 35th anniversary season of Chamber Music Northwest — a month of concerts by top-shelf musicians, on the campus of Reed College. The festival opened this year with a performance of Franz Schubert's "Trout" Quintet, Op. 114. Anne-Marie McDermott was at the piano, with violinist Ida Kavafian, violist Steven Tenenbom, cellist Peter Wiley, and Edgar Meyer playing double bass.
