Every May, the justices of the Supreme Court invite musicians and a few hundred friends for an afternoon spring concert. This year, violinist Rachel Barton Pine and baritone Rodney Gilfry performed in the elegant East Conference Room of the Supreme Court building in downtown Washington, D.C.
After playing a movement from a Bach Violin Sonata, Pine performed Amy Beach's Romance, Op. 23 with pianist Matthew Hagle. And Gilfry and pianist Thomas Lausmann performed George Gershwin's Embraceable You.
