Democratic Gubernatorial Debates This Week

The three main Democratic candidates for governor will debate each other on television for the next three nights.

Jessica Jones: With just three weeks to go until the May eighth primary, Lieutenant Governor Walter Dalton, former U.S. Representative Bob Etheridge, and State representative Bill Faison are stepping up their efforts to reach voters. WRAL-TV will broadcast tonight's debate at 7 o'clock. Tomorrow's will air on UNC-TV and Wednesday's debate will be broadcast by on WNCN-TV in Raleigh. Candidates haven't had much time to prepare for running for the state's highest office because Governor Bev Perdue announced in late January she wouldn't run again. Three other Democratic primary candidates will not take part in the debates. A recent survey by Raleigh's Public Policy Polling shows 45 percent of Democratic voters are undecided.
