Every month, The State of Things hosts a conversation about a topic in film. Host Frank Stasio talks with Laura Boyes, film curator at the North Carolina Museum of Art, and Marsha Gordon, film professor at North Carolina State University. And we want to hear from you. Submit your choices by email or tweet us with #SOTMovies.

Movies On The Radio: Vacation Time

Pack your bags people. It’s summer, and you know what that means: Vacation time!

Do you vicariously sip sangria through watching Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” or  practice your moves along with Baby in “Dirty Dancing?” Do you re-live the dog days of summers past with the gang in “The Sandlot?”

Maybe nothing reminds you of how good you have it now like cringing over the Griswalds’ family road trip to Wally World.

Whether you like movies that take you “Under the Tuscan Sun” or give you a relaxing “Weekend at Bernie’s,” let us know your favorite vacation movie. Email sot@wunc.org or tweet at us with #sotmovies and your pick could be featured in our next Movies on the Radio.

Bon voyage!
