The Imani Winds Perform Coleman, Ravel

The Imani Winds Quintet
The Imani Winds Quintet

The name "Imani" means "faith" in Swahili. The Imani Winds step out on faith with their mission and their music. It's not easy to make a living as a full time wind quintet.

In concert at Lincoln Center as part of the the Chamber Music series, the Imani Winds perform flutist Valerie Coleman's "Umoja" and a transcription of Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin."
