Dar Williams and the Search for a 'Better Self'

Modern folksinger Dar Williams has just released My Better Self. The album is a collection of new songs that are smart and serious -- with Williams's trademark wit thrown in for good measure.

The songs take on political and environmental undertones, as Williams takes stock of modern life. And fittingly, the 10 originals and three covers -- from Neil Young and others -- were recorded in Woodstock, N.Y.

This appearance first aired on Oct. 25, 2005.
