The prestigious Chopin International Piano Competition only comes around once every five years. It had been three decades since a native of Poland had won, but this year the winner was Rafal Blechacz, a 20-year-old Pole. Blechacz swept the awards for best Polonaise, best Mazurka, and best Concerto. We hear him perform four of Chopin's Mazurkas, op. 17.
