Life Science Leaders at CED Conference

North Carolina continues to be one of the national hot-beds for the Life Sciences.  Entrepreneurs, scientists and venture capitalists in the field are gathering today and tomorrow in Raleigh.

Leoneda Inge:  The CED Life Science Conference is in its 21st year and is one of the biggest events of its type in the southeast.  The idea is to bring some of the best and brightest Life Science companies face-to-face with investors.  Bob Ingram, a General Partner with Hattaras Venture Partners is one of the events co-chairs.

Bob Ingram:  For our start-ups we’re going to have a wonderful panel that will be led by Kris Jenner representing T. Rowe Price who will lead a great panel to focus on what are the realities today of the capital markets.

Christopher Viehbacher, CEO of Sanofi is the keynote speaker.  The global health care company is recently known for its acquisition of Genzyme and the launch of Allegra in the US.

Leoneda Inge is WUNC’s race and southern culture reporter, the first public radio journalist in the South to hold such a position. She also is co-host of the podcast Tested and host of the special podcast series, PAULI. Leoneda is the recipient of numerous awards from AP, RTDNA and NABJ. She’s been a reporting fellow in Berlin and Tokyo. You can follow her on Twitter @LeonedaInge.
