Lawns and patios in Durham and a mill in Rocky Mount will reverberate with the sounds of music this summer in a series of concerts co-sponsored by WUNC.

This year's Back Porch Music series at American Tobacco features a wider range of music than in years past and features a couple of shows on the "Home Run Patio" and "Down Under Patio" in addition to under the Lucky Strike Tower. The series kicks off with Adam Pitts on April 12 at 6:30 p.m. The Mill Music Sessions start April 13 with Nantucket.

In Rocky Mount, the Mill Music Sessions start off with a rock'n'roll bang from North Carolina's Nantucket. The sessions this year also feature Dillon Fence, The Connells, and John Howie & The Rosewood Bluff.
The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. for all shows.
The shows are produced in partnership with Rocky Mount Mills and School Kids Records. This is the second year for the series.
Food trucks will be on the scene and you're invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends.
