Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Jim Boggia seems like an unlikely rocker: Blind in one eye with failing eyesight in the other, Boggia got his start on the Philly rock scene as a customer-service rep for a local company selling studio equipment. But he's gone on to collaborate with the likes of Aimee Mann and even Bernadette Peters. Click the link above to hear Boggia perform live in concert from WXPN and World Café Live in Philadelphia.
As a child, Boggia would spend hours in his room, listening to records by The Kinks and Stevie Wonder and trying to emulate the sounds on his guitar. He'd go on to record an album with the local band 4 Way Street, and just released a solo disc, Misadventures in Stereo, earlier this month.
