It's that time of year to load up the lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends and head out to Rocky Mount Mills for a summer series of concerts co-sponsored by WUNC. Food trucks can help complete your picnic.
In partnership with Schoolkids Records, the series will showcase a range of North Carolina-based musicians.
The series kicks off Friday, April 13, with Eastern North Carolina favorites, Nantucket. Food trucks begin serving at 5:30 p.m. and the music will start at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. Scroll down for videos from the bands.
Update: The Connells at WUNC's Mill Music Sessions has been postponed for Friday, September 14 due to Hurricane Florence and its expected significant impact to North Carolina and the Rocky Mount region. We have rescheduled the Mill Music Session featuring The Connells for Friday, September 28.
