The Great Recession is behind us, and business is booming: new business especially. After a major slump, entrepreneurs are opening shop every month, from mom-and-pop stores to high-growth tech firms. But not all aspiring business owners are able to create the companies they would like to.

President Obama has repeatedly called for the closure of the prison at Guantanamo Bay, but this month marks 14 years since the first detainees landed on Cuban shores.

Several detainees have participated in hunger strikes in protest of their imprisonment. A federal judge has ordered the release of videos showing guards force-feeding detainees but the government has until Friday to appeal the ruling.

For decades an important collection has been stored in a home in Western Massachusetts, but the weather in that part of the country  has been unpredictable these past few years.  

Which is what made Lisa Baskin start thinking about her collection.

"We had tornadoes, followed by Hurricane Irene, followed by a freak snowstorm while the leaves were still on the trees, and that was about three years ago and that is when I began the process," she said.
