Old Dominion vs. NC State 6 PM

North Carolina State football will host Old Dominion University this weekend in Raleigh. It's the second home game for the Wolfpack this season, after barely scraping by for a win against Georgia Southern last week. This year is Old Dominion's first season as part of Conference USA, and they're led by senior Quarterback, Taylor Heinicke. Wolfpack Coach Dave Doeren  thinks Heinicke is a big threat.

"Probably the most exciting Quarterback at their level until they moved up this year," said Doeren. "Doesn't throw a lot of picks, throws a ton of touchdowns, understands their offense and just has a lot of savvy. Another challenging offense for our defense to play against."

Duke vs. Troy 7 PM

Duke football's head coach David Cutcliffe returns to his native state this weekend, as the Blue Devils take on Troy University in Alabama. Duke heads into the game after an opening week win against Elon last Saturday. The 54-to-13 victory gives the team momentum, but this week will likely present bigger obstacles.

"And I think that's what all of us have to remember," said Cutcliffe. "We will have to have a great week of preparation, because I know we're going into a circumstance on Saturday evening in Troy, AL. It's gonna be serious football. And it will be a great test for our team."

San Diego State vs. UNC-CH 8 PM

UNC Chapel Hill will host its second home football game of the season, tomorrow. Both the Tar Heels and the San Diego State Aztecs head into Kenan Memorial Stadium having won their first games last week. UNC enters the game ranked 23rd in the nation. SDSU's defense will need to step up. The long trip across the country is one of many factors making this week's game more difficult than the last.

"We're playing against a better football team," said SDSU head coach, Rocky Long. "...a much more talented football team, a much bigger team, a much faster team, a team that jumps a lot higher, does things a whole lot better. So we better do things a whole lot better on defense or we're in trouble."

Other NC Games:

Gardner-Webb vs. Wake Forest 6:30 PM

East Carolina vs. South Carolina 7 PM

Elizabeth City State University vs. NCCU 5 PM
