Youth ReporterDonna Diaz was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. Being a member of her school's newspaper the “Pirates Hook” led her to the WUNC Youth Reporter Institute. She is excited for an opportunity to explore radio journalism and the different ways on how a story can be told.

WUNC Youth Reporter Donna Diaz is a second-generation Honduran American. During the summer of 2022, she traveled to Honduras for the first time where she connected with the family she had never met before.
