Triangle Start-up Weekend is underway in Raleigh, and the focus is on women.
Eleanor Ismail will be there. She's President and Co-Founder of Aura Life, a company that’s developing natural remedies for yeast infections. She has this start-up advice.
“Just go with boldness, have courage, be open-minded, be a team player and just have fun," said Ismail.
Aura Life was a crowd favorite at a previous start-up event. Naga Chadaram is the company's CEO and Co-Founder.
“We are paying forward. We got help from other people at the last event so here we are going as participants to help others," said Chadaram.
Ismail says teamwork is the key.
"Because I think a lot of times, business wants to hold these ideas tight," said Ismail. But when you have a team, you can just really create some fascinating things that you never thought you would have done before."
Organizers say their goal is to have at least 50 percent female participation. Triangle Startup Weekend runs through Sunday at HQ Raleigh.
