Local and state officials have refused to hand over documents related to North Carolina's pursuit of tech giant Apple. And members of the state elections board have questions about the voting machines that some voters use. On this review of the week in state politics, Rob Schofield and Becki Gray discuss the lack of transparency and whether or not North Carolina should only use paper ballots. The duo also discuss the latest iteration of a bill designed to get sheriffs to comply with federal immigration officials, and U.S. Representative Mark Walker's decision to not try vie the upper chamber of Congress.

Jeff Tiberii is the co-host of WUNC's "Due South." Jeff joined WUNC in 2011. During his 20 years in public radio, he was Morning Edition Host at WFDD and WUNC’s Greensboro Bureau Chief and later, the Capitol Bureau Chief. Jeff has covered state and federal politics, produced the radio documentary “Right Turn,” launched a podcast, and was named North Carolina Radio Reporter of the Year four times.
