Patrick Dayton and his biology teacher William Richards at Chapel Hill High School.

WUNC's My Teacher Series is exploring student-teacher relationships across North Carolina and trying to find out what it takes to make a connect in the classroom.

Today we meet Chapel Hill High School sophomore Patrick Dayton and his biology teacher William Richards. Patrick took Mr. Richards class his first year. It was an experience that helped him adjust to life in high school. Mr. Richards taught Patrick a lot of biology and some important life lessons too.
