This week on Alt.Latino, Felix and I talk about the different music we associate with spring, which keeps teasing us here on the East Coast, but hasn't made a full-on appearance quite yet.
For some, warm weather might be associated with sweet, breezy music like the love ballads of Peruvian indie group Kanaku y el Tigre. For others, it might be the sultry grooves of Cuban soul singer Alex Cuba. Believe it or not, I associate hot weather with punk rock — being stuck in the city as a teenager and going to shows in a pair of jean shorts and old Chucks. That's why I brought in Los Rusos HDP, a punk band I love from Argentina.
How about you? What music makes you think of warmer weather? Please tell us in the comments.
