In the past eight years, Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel have made five albums, married and had two children. The pair, who record as Mates of State, stopped by the Bryant Park Project studios to play from their new album, Re-Arrange Us.
Forget everything you think you know about rock stars: Mates of State have a picture-perfect, suburban Connecticut life, and it's cool.
It truly is a family affair for the duo. Hammel and Gardner brought their kids along on their BPP visit, and Gardner's mom baby-sat. They call their blog Band on the Diaper Run.
