Performance Today's series on folk and classical traditions around the world continues with two Russian performances in NPR's Studio 4A: Trio Voronezh performs classical music on the traditional Russian folk instruments, the double-bass balalaika, domra and bayan, and celebrated baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky sings the Prince's Aria from Tchaikovsky's opera, The Queen of Spades. And a traditional Russian wedding song and dance is heard in the orchestral music of Mikhail Glinka, in his tone poem Kamarinskaya.
