Mount Moriah

Mount Moriah

Mount Moriah is a Southern folk music band based in Durham, North Carolina. Their self-titled debut CD has rich lyrics that tackle themes such as reconciliation, religious symbolism and gender identity.

The stories in the songs are personal and the intimacy with which they are delivered by longtime band mates Heather McEntire and Jenks Miller is earning the group a growing crop of fans far and wide.

Longtime NPR correspondent Frank Stasio was named permanent host of The State of Things in June 2006. A native of Buffalo, Frank has been in radio since the age of 19. He began his public radio career at WOI in Ames, Iowa, where he was a magazine show anchor and the station's News Director.
