Isabella Cude and her 4th Grade teacher Steve Waterman at Durham School of the Arts.

WUNC's My Teacher Series explores student-teacher relationships across North Carolina and tries to find out what it takes to make a connection in the classroom.

Today, we meet Isabella Cude, a high school student at Durham School of the Arts. We join Isabella as she returns to her 4th grade classroom and interviews her elementary school teacher, Steve Waterman. The two reminisce and talk about what the 4th grade was like and how they saw each other.

The My Teacher Series is produced  by Kimani Hall and made possible in part by a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
