Romney, Biden In NC

The race for President is ratcheting up in North Carolina, as both campaigns are making the state a central focus.

Dave DeWitt: In 2008, the presidential race in North Carolina came down to 4-tenths of a percentage point. The race in 2012 looks like it could be just as close, and both candidates are likely to spend a lot of time here in the next few months.

Republican candidate Mitt Romney stopped in Mooresville and High Point on Sunday, along with his newly-minted running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan. Romney had planned to come to Morrisville, as well, but opted instead for a trip to Wisconsin.

The Obama Campaign is sending Vice President Joe Biden to the state today. Biden will be in Durham, speaking at the downtown Armory, at around 1 o’clock.
