WATCH: Ceremony For Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg At Supreme Court

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is being remembered in a private ceremony at the high court, where her body is lying in repose on Tuesday.

Ginsburg, the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court and a trailblazing pioneer for gender equality, died Sept. 18 at the age of 87 at her home in Washington, D.C. She had recently received treatment for pancreatic cancer.

She had served on the court since 1993, when she was appointed by former President Bill Clinton.

Days before her death, Ginsburg told her granddaughter: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."
