WUNC Youth Reporting Listening Party

WUNC’s Youth Reporting Institute hosts its annual public listening party on Thursday August 8 at 7 PM at Motorco in Durham.  This is a free event and will feature the first public airing of 7 new stories produced by WUNC’s Youth Reporting Team.

Each Summer WUNC hires a team of high school age students and asks to produce a story that tells us something new about their community.  This summer our Youth Reporters are exploring things like housing, the immigrant high school experience and we explore the local teen punk rock scene.

While much of the reporting has been serious work, our Youth Team has also been having some fun.  Earlier this summer they took over WUNC Music’s Songs We Love Podcast.

Reserve your spot for the event by emailing rsvp@wunc.org.
