President-elect Donald Trump made a stop in Fayetteville Tuesday night as part of his "thank you" tour. Trump spoke before a crowd of several thousand near Fort Bragg.

Trump said he planned to build up the military with more resources, but reduce foreign intervention.

"We will stop racing to topple foreign...regimes that we know nothing about, that we shouldn't be involved with,” Trump said. “Instead our focus must be on defeating terrorism and destroying ISIS."

Trump also reiterated his campaign promises to slash taxes on businesses, and build a wall along the U-S-Mexico border, and he implied he may want to take action against people who burn the American flag.

“We love our flag and we don't like it when we see people ripping up our flag and burning our flag,” he said. “We don't like it, and we'll see what we're going to do about that.”

The Supreme Court says the First Amendment protects people's right to burn the flag as a form of expression. Trump also told the crowd he plans to increase spending on infrastructure and the military, and cut taxes on businesses and middle-income workers.
