The pandemic has had an especially harsh impact on high school seniors in North Carolina. They've missed events they can't get back, like final performances, sports seasons, proms and graduations. Still, many have shown resilience and hopefulness.

Holliday was recruited by a number of Division-1 schools, inluding Duke, but will play for UNC in college.

Christopher Holliday is a senior at Jordan High School in Durham. Last year, he was a junior marshall and got to see the behind-the-scenes of what he had hoped his graduation would look like this year.

He plans to attend UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar and to play on the Tar Heel football team. Growing up in the area, Christopher says it was a dream to go to UNC.
