WUNC is traveling the state, listening to students interview their teachers. Our goal is to gain some new insights into what it takes to be a teacher in North Carolina. Do you have a special story about a teacher? Tell us! Also, here's how to record your own My Teacher interview.

My Teacher: Connecting Through Creative Writing

Paula Acevedo and Her Creative Writing Teacher Sarah White
Kimani Hall

WUNC's My Teacher Series explores student-teacher relationships across North Carolina and tries to find out what it takes to make a connection in the classroom.

Today we meet Paula Acevedo a junior at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh. We join Paula with her creative writing teacher, Sarah White, in their English classroom. Paula begins to ask Sarah what she likes to write about in the world of creative writings.

The My Teacher Series is produced  by Kimani Hall and made possible in part by a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
