WUNC is traveling the state, listening to students interview their teachers. Our goal is to gain some new insights into what it takes to be a teacher in North Carolina. Do you have a special story about a teacher? Tell us! Also, here's how to record your own My Teacher interview.

My Teacher: Tweeting AP US History

Lena Geller and her history teacher Drew Markham at Riverside High School.

WUNC's My Teacher Series is exploring student-teacher relationships across North Carolina and trying to find out what it takes to make a connect in the classroom.

Today we meet Riverside High School junior Lena Geller and her AP US History teacher Drew Markham. Mr. Markham teaches a rigorous course, but he finds a way to make it fun too. Lena was re-tweeting Mr. Markham before she even took his class.
