WUNC's My Teacher Series explores student-teacher relationships across North Carolina and tries to find out what it takes to make a connection in the classroom.

This episode of My Teacher features Enloe High School senior Rayna Haque, who interviewed her English teacher Lisa Covington this spring. Having gone through almost all of high school together, they ask each other how they've changed over the years.

The My Teacher Series is produced  by Kimani Hall and made possible in part by a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Correction: A photo in an earlier version of this story incorrectly identified teacher Lisa Covington and student Rayna Haque.
