Islamic Center Holds Open House

The Islamic Center of Raleigh will host its annual open house for the public tomorrow. The event usually draws hundreds of people from the region who come to learn more about Muslims and their religion.

Imran Aukhil is a spokesman for the Islamic Association of Raleigh:

" It's a really great opportunity I think for people to come and learn about Islam, learn a lot of different things, get some treats from the community, we have a lot of people providing food from all over the world for the event, so it should be exciting and interesting."

Aukhil says the event will also feature presentations on Islam, tours of the mosque and demonstrations of Muslim prayers.

The open house will be held from two to five p-m Saturday afternoon.
