More News On Sundays From WUNC

There’s more live news programming for your Sundays on WUNC.

Beginning Sunday January 7th, NPR’s Weekend Edition with Lulu Garcia-Navarro is expanding and will run from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.  Sunday Weekend Edition will continue to feature weekly segments from WUNC’s American Homefront Project. That’s our national reporting initiative focused on military and veterans issues. In addition to the expansion of NPR’s Weekend Edition, WUNC is proud to present the BBC Newshour Sundays at 4. This program is produced live from London with an American audience in mind.

“Given the pace of the news cycle over the past year we feel it’s essential to offer WUNC listeners more options for timely, fact-based reporting on the weekends,” said Connie Walker, WUNC’s President and General Manager. “NPR and the BBC are among the world’s most trusted voices in news.”

With the expansion of NPR’s Weekend Edition and the BBC Newshour, some of our weekend favorite shows will get new times. The People’s Pharmacy with Joe and Terry Graedon will now be heard Saturday and Sundays at 7 a.m. Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me is now at noon and is followed by NPR’s comedic hit show Ask Me Another with host Ophira Eisenberg.
