Internet Summit 2011 Hits Raleigh

Some of the top bloggers and tech-savvy professionals will be in Raleigh for the next two days for the annual Internet Summit.

Internet Summit 2011will feature more than 120 speakers and 80 presentations and panels.  This year’s keynote presenter is popular blogger, author and wine aficionado Gary Vaynerchuck of Wine Library T-V and Daily Grape.

Gary Vaynerchuck:  "Hello everybody and welcome to Wine Library TV, I am your host Gary Vay Ner Chuck and this my friends is the thunder show the internet’s greatest wine show!  And this is episode 1,000, and so, this is seriously emotional for me."

About two-thousand marketers, new media types and even venture capitalists are expected to pack the Raleigh Convention Center for the Internet Summit – the largest of its kind in the Southeast. 

Leoneda Inge is the co-host of WUNC's "Due South." Leoneda has been a radio journalist for more than 30 years, spending most of her career at WUNC as the Race and Southern Culture reporter. Leoneda’s work includes stories of race, slavery, memory and monuments. She has won "Gracie" awards, an Alfred I. duPont Award and several awards from the Radio, Television, Digital News Association (RTDNA). In 2017, Leoneda was named "Journalist of Distinction" by the National Association of Black Journalists.
