UNC Chancellor Carol Folt Takes The Helm

On Saturday UNC Chapel Hill inducted its first female chancellor, Carol Folt.

The former Dartmouth professor takes the reins during a pivotal time at the university. Academic fraud allegations, controversy over the institution’s response to sexual assaults on campus and a looming budget crisis provide significant challenges for Folt’s first year.
