"It's been a minute" is another way of saying "let's catch up."

As a new program on WUNC, It's Been a Minute with Sam Sandersis a weekly, one-hour engaging conversation -- a timely and topical look back at the week's news, with pop culture features and interviews. The program is now part of WUNC's lineup. You'll be able to get caught up Saturdays at 4 p.m. starting December 9.

Sam talks with journalists, newsmakers, and listeners about news, popular culture, and the internet. The stories big and small on just about any subject are told with vigor and interest by Sam and his guests.

"It's Been a Minute" provides an irreverent, casual space for you to process the pace of current events. Sam also spends time with actors, musicians, and comedians, interviewing in a way that gives you a chance to really get to know them.

"What I really see the show doing is taking the conversations I have with my friends and colleagues all the time, about current events, and everything -- taking those conversations and putting them on the radio. Smart conversations. Newsy conversations -- but loose, and conversational," said Sanders.

Hear the program this Saturday and every Saturday at 4 p.m. on WUNC. "It's Been a Minute" replaces "The Dinner Party" on WUNC.
