The free concert kicks off at 6 p.m. on the American Tobacco Campus lawn in Durham.
Jim White vs. the Packway Handle Band
The Packway Handle Band strums hard and sings fast. The Athens, GA outfit teamed up with "itinerant rambler" and singer/songwriter Jim White in 2013 when the band asked White to producer its record. Instead, White found himself joining the group to make a collection of upbeat stompers. Their record is Take It Like a Man on Yep Roc Records and even though the group has "versus" in its title, White and the Band blend together a high-energy roundabout of bluegrass.

The Australian artist creates soft, light-hearted yet intimate folk songs. His stories of longing for love are personal and always tender. In case you need more evidence, watch Hanlon's video for "I Wish That I Was Beautiful For You" below:
