Updated Friday, April 17, 1:46 p.m.

Wayne Community College in Goldsboro has closed for the weekend. The college websitesays it closed at 10 a.m. Friday morning after receiving "several threatening phone calls over the last two days."

College authorities say the campus was not in danger today and acted "purely from a precautionary perspective."

The closing comes days after a gunman shot and killed print shop director Ron Lane. Police have arrested former student, 20-year-old Kenneth Stancil. Stancil claims to be part of a Neo-Nazi group.

He has told WRALTVthat he killed Lane after the instructor made sexual advances toward Stancil's younger brother.
