Bob Hermann

Bob Hermann grew up as an “Air Force brat” in many places including Denver, South Dakota, and 2 tours in Germany.  He majored in Radio/Television at Ohio University, worked at WOUB (NPR/PBS) there, and after relocating to the West Coast, took screenwriting classes at UCLA.  Unfortunately, none of his scripts sold, but he did get some interesting people to read them.

Bob worked at the ABC owned rock station, KLOS in Los Angeles, KMTR TV (NBC) in Eugene, Oregon, and also created his own niche ad agency in Eugene, specializing in sustainable businesses, the organic food industry, and political campaigns.  This included implementing the TV and radio for Measure 97, the nation’s first ballot initiative to mandate the labeling of GMO’s… which had the dubious honor of large contributions against it setting an all-time state spending record.  Bob returned to public broadcasting in 2012, working for WJCT in Jacksonville (NPR/ PBS) before arriving at WUNC in October, 2019.
