Parents in Wake County are concerned about proposed changes to the school schedule.

It's proving to be a tough sell. The vast majority of the more than 6-thousand comments on the school district web site are complaints. Some say the changes to their family schedules will be too drastic, others cite studies that teens perform better academically when they have sufficient sleep.
For the majority of schools, the proposed changes would alter the schedules by ten minutes or less. A handful of schools would see their bell schedules change by 50 minutes.
The Wake School Board is expected to discuss the proposal next week.
