Truth and Salvage Co. is a sextet dedicated to American rock 'n' roll. Even with four different songwriters and lead singers, Bill "Smitty" Smith (drums and vocals), Joe Edel (bass), Adam Grace (organ), Walker Young (piano and vocals), Tim Jones (rhythm guitar and vocals) and Scott Kinnebrew (lead guitar and vocals) manage to hide all the moving parts and create a simple, energetic sound. Every group member has had a previous stake in some other musical project, including The Moldy Peaches, Ben Folds Five and Jack Johnson. Each independently made his way to Los Angeles, where fate summoned the group to the same stage in no time. What started out as jamming for fun turned into a full-time project; Truth and Salvage's energetic live performances soon had the group selling out venues and earned it a spot on The Black Crowes' label, Silver Arrow Records, which released its eponymous debut in May.
