Rased in Crumlin, Ireland, Paddy Casey was discovered by a Sony A&R scout while busking in the streets of Dublin. It proved a fortuitous find: Casey's album Living was certified 11 times platinum in Ireland, and remained in the Top 10 there for more than a year.
Though his latest release, Addicted to Company, finds Casey atop grooves akin to those of Prince and Sly & The Family Stone, he's heard here in a stripped-down setting, performing on acoustic guitar with keyboardist Fiona Melady.
As a closer, vocalist Julie Adams and the Mountain Stage Band take on a tune by Canadian songwriter John Tirro.
