Checking the Math on a Huge Theoretical Problem

A math problem first posed in the 19th century has been solved. It took more than 200 billion computations, but scientists know understand a bit more about the mysteries of the universe's symmetry. Stanford University math professor Keith Devlin explains the scope of the problem to Scott Simon.
