Blending bouncy, new-wave-inspired rock with hooky keyboards and jazzy rhythms, The Changes' Today Is Tonight has all the makings of a major breakthrough. After forming in 2002 and releasing a pair of EPs, the band found itself at the center of rapidly growing underground buzz, which culminated in its appearance at the 2005 Lollapalooza festival in The Changes' native Chicago.
After touring with the likes of Stephen Malkmus, The Walkmen and Kaiser Chiefs, the band was picked up by a label, which released its full-length debut this fall. Filled to capacity with catchy riffs and insistent melodies, Today Is Tonight blends The Changes' influences into a distinct and immensely appealing sound.
